CHANGE DRUG LAWS

Robert Sharpe is right on the money with his thoughts about our
current policy (and war) against "illegal" drugs ("Stop drug war from
causing problems for Detroit police," Sept. 7).

I have been stating the same view for a few years now. The problems,
and billions of dollars down the drain, will continue unabated until
our policy changes to a more realistic, noncriminal and managed approach.
