CHONG BACKLASH

YOUR HEADLINE "So long, Chong" on page 64 of Friday's paper (Sept. 12)
was a little cold. We knew some kind of legal trouble was coming for
Tommy, but I guess I somehow believed the police and legal paperwork
forces might have something better to do. Nine months for selling
bongs over the Internet? There must be an office full of proud
American officers strutting around right now, knowing they blew the
lid off the case of Tommy Chong. If there is not already a backlash to
this, I'll see if I can help organize one. Man, just when they were
preparing a new Cheech and Chong movie!
