PROFITABLE END TO WAR
EDITOR: I couldn't agree more with Kirk Muse's letter printed on the 15th.
I have long had the opinion that if law enforcement acknowledged the war
against drugs was a "bust" and drugs were decriminalized, there would be
much less crime involved.
What Mr. Muse failed to mention was the tax revenues that would accrue from
such an action and in this state instead of spending tax dollars wiping out
marijuana crops (possibly the biggest cash crop in this state), why not tax
them and solve our "we're broke blues" situation. Mr. Governor, are you
listening?
