SPOTLIGHT ON P SCOURGE
Terrace End Rotary Club is doing its bit to help counter problems with
methamphetamine, or P, abuse.
The club is holding a public meeting for any people who want to know more about
the dangers of P use and where to go for help.
The meeting, to be chaired by city pharmacist Glen Caves, will consist of a
panel of speakers including the Police, MidCentral Health Alcohol and Drug
Service, the probation service, secondary school principals and a Maori social
services trust.
At the end of the meeting Drug Arm manager Lew Findlay will move to set up
local support groups.
The meeting is at the Palmerston North City Council chambers on October 8, at
7.30pm.
