FORMER NORMAN RESIDENT HONORED

Monday, medical marijuana enthusiasts and patients from around the country
descended upon the front steps of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.,
for a memorial service for former Norman resident Cheryl Miller.

Miller, who had multiple sclerosis for 32 years, was a medical marijuana
advocate until her death at the age of 57 this past June.

Miller was born in Heavener and lived in Norman from 1966 to 1986, when she
moved to New Jersey. In conjunction with the memorial service, Rep. Barney
Frank, D-Mass., will hold a press conference for 10:30 a.m. today in which
Miller's husband Jim will address the press and then rally the attending
medical marijuana users in a congressional lobbying effort.
