ARRESTED PAIR ARE GOOD FOLKS

Re. Sept. 28 story, "Police discover drug cache in EP officer's home":

This story has shocked me, as I am the step-sister of Julie Harris.

Julie worked several nights third shift a week, so as far as these wild
parties are concerned, she didn't have the time for it. I do know that she
and East Peoria Police officer Ron Beeney bought a hot tub several months
ago and they did have a few people over once or twice a week to hang out,
but I would not call these wild parties.

Ron and Julie are good people. They have always been the type that would
give you the shirts off their backs. I realize that it looks bad right now,
but do we need to be making it even worse than it is?
