DRUGS NOT HARMLESS

I am fed up with people saying we should lift the prohibition on drugs
because drugs do not harm anyone. To all these people, I have a few questions.

What about the athletic honor-roll student who succumbs to pressure by a
peer drug dealer, who cares only about money, and tries drugs?

What about the people maimed or killed by drivers under the influence of drugs?

What about the parents who suffer when their drug-addicted children destroy
their lives or die from an overdose?

What about the children whose parents abuse them, neglect them or abandon
them because of the hold drugs have on these parents?

What about the babies born addicted to drugs because their mother loved
drugs more than the unborn child she carried?

Drugs harmless? I think not. People who say otherwise are liars or have
their heads buried in the sand. The drug war may not have been won, but we
cannot stop fighting this war.
