CANNABIS IS HERE TO STAY

IN THE Oct. 4 edition of The Sun, Alberta Attorney General David Hancock
wants to limit the number of grams of marijuana of cannabis a person can
carry. Why? Cannabis poses no danger to the user or anyone else. The plants
cause no danger. Prohibition and the resulting black market are the only
real dangers. Besides, cannabis is already legal in Canada, and no
"decriminalization" bill is going to change that. Ottawa can put whatever
legislation it wants in place, but it won't hold up in court. People have
always used cannabis and always will. Cannabis is here to stay, and Hancock
and the rest of Alberta better get used to the idea. If Hancock wants to
waste millions more of Alberta's tax dollars on a ridiculous and pointless
drug war, then maybe he should run for office in Texas.
