MAN WITH MARIJUANA CIGAR BEHIND EAR ASKS PORT ST. LUCIE COP FOR DIRECTIONS
PORT ST. LUCIE - Maurice Stuckey made a critical error Wednesday when
he asked Officer Matt Wood for directions but forgot to remove the
marijuana "blunt" tucked behind his left ear.
Stuckey, 20, of Dolton, Ill., reportedly asked Wood, a former
narcotics investigator, for directions about 3:30 p.m. at a
convenience store in the 1600 block of Northwest St. Lucie West
Boulevard, according to a Port St. Lucie Police report obtained Thursday.
Wood and another officer, who were on foot patrol at the time, were at
the store when they saw a red, two-door Chrysler park and Stuckey get
out of the vehicle.
Wood noticed the blunt, a cigar that's been hollowed out and repacked
with marijuana, when Stuckey asked for directions.
Stuckey admitted that the blunt contained marijuana. Investigators
also found a baggie with about 5 grams of marijuana inside the Chrysler.
Stuckey faces a misdemeanor charge of possession of less than 20 grams
of marijuana and was taken to jail.
