CHRETIEN'S POT REMARK A BAD EXAMPLE FOR KIDS

Re: Chretien jokes about trying pot once it's legal, Oct. 4

As a mother, I am appalled at Prime Minister Jean Chretien's recent
comments about the decriminalization of marijuana. They were
irresponsible.

Children need heroes. Aside from their parents, people in leadership
roles help shape what children become. We need political leaders of
integrity and character who think of future generations.

Here's a message for all our politicians: Children are watching you
and listening to you. What kind of legacy will you leave?
