SAME OLD CHAOS

Re: Court eases medical marijuana rules, reinstates law against possession,
Oct. 8.

Your article about the medical marijuana issue makes it sound like
everything is fine now. The Ontario courts have fixed nothing.

They have instructed Health Canada to make certain changes to its Marijuana
Medical Access Regulations. But if the past is any indication, Health Canada
officials will drag their heels and set up more and more complicated ways to
restrict people's access to medicine.

This decision tries to open doors, but how many sick Canadians will die or
be arrested before the door is fully open?

Health Canada has acted in bad faith since Day 1 on this project, and it
would be prudent to expect it will continue to do so. It cannot be trusted.
