LIBERAL HATCHET JOB ON LIMBAUGH

Jennifer Portman's anti-Rush diatribe (Oct.12 column, "Feel sorry for Rush?
he wouldn't like it") expressing her view that he will now have to look on
liberal compassion with more respect is "good old rock-and-roll plastic
banana" liberal twang.

I didn't hear any liberals complaining about Betty Ford going into drug
rehab and then admonishing her for verbalizing her pro-abortion views.

Nor did I hear any liberal criticize Liz Taylor for expressing her
pro-homosexual support after admitting to her addiction to painkiller drugs
and seeking treatment.

It seems once again we have the liberal/conservative double standard. The
conservative who checks into a drug treatment center is now disreputable
and his political views are fair game for a liberal hatchet job.

Rush will come out of rehab with his same 20 million listeners and with his
same views regarding street drug addicted people who do not take drugs for
pain relief but for emotional and physical highs because they cannot handle
what life deals out.

Rush's past discourse has always been critical of drug dealers and "dope
smoking, maggot infested" scumbag users. It is a pity that Portman cannot
see the difference between this type of addict and the pain-reliever addict.

I hope she thinks of this the next time she takes an aspirin for a headache.
