UNFAIR TO LIMBAUGH

Re Robert Steinback's Oct. 14 column, Inconsistency: the American way:

It is intellectually dishonest to compare someone who becomes addicted
to prescribed pain medication with someone whose addiction results
from his desire to ''enhance'' his sense of well-being or ''ascend''
to a higher plane.

What Rush Limbaugh has done is wrong, but it isn't fair to equate his
situation with those who abuse cocaine, marijuana and other illegal
drugs.
