EXPECT APOLOGY AFTER TREATMENT
Rush Limbaugh declared "I am no role model." His candor is refreshing.
I hope that liberals will withhold their cries of hypocrisy and let
Limbaugh deal with his problem. It's a serious one.
I disagree with almost everything Limbaugh says, and think he's done
more than anyone else to coarsen public discourse over the past decade.
On his program, he has accused drug addiction of destroying society,
and has said he doesn't believe in the disease model of addiction. He
advocates incarceration over treatment. Well, he's wrong about that,
and we should demand that he apologize --- after his treatment. And
then if his rhetoric hasn't changed, let's let him have it.
