RUSH'S ADDICTION

Rush Limbaugh wants to be up front and straight forward with his radio talk
show audience.

That's why he confessed last week in his daily broadcast that he was
addicted to pain killers and was taking off a month to dry out.

Of course, it's doubtful we'd know today about Limbaugh's addiction if it
weren't for a tabloid newspaper reporting the story some weeks ago.

Critics are seeing the hypocrisy in Limbaugh's actions, and rightfully so,
since the conservative voice of America has spoken out frequently against
drug use and liberal lifestyles in the past.

Consider this Limbaugh quote from a past television show: "Drug use, some
might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against if people
are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they
ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up."

Here's wishing Limbaugh the best in overcoming his addiction.

Perhaps he'll have more sympathy for people who are in similar situations
when he returns to the airwaves.
