PANGASINAN TOWN NOW DRUG-FREE
Residents of Sto. Tomas, Pangasinan lauded Municipal Mayor Antonio "Bebot"
S. Villar Jr. for the success of his total war against illegal drugs. It
has been acclaimed that Sto. Tomas is a drug-free municipality in Pangasinan.
Though the town has achieved its drug-free goal, Bebot said the campaign
against illegal drugs continue with an education drive on bad effects of
the illegal stuff.
Mayor Bebot said he has initiated his own strategies for the campaign
which, he said, has been very effective.
The drug buster mayor said discipline is a plus factor in the campaign. He
added the cooperation and vigilance of barangay officials and residents are
also needed for the success of the campaign.
Mayor Bebot said that the Philippine National Police (PNP) here has been a
very active partner on the war against illegal drugs.
He added that the municipal government is in full support to the Provincial
Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) for its provincewide drive against illegal
drugs.
