13 OF 24 DRUG-AFFECTED BARANGAYS CLEARED

THIRTEEN of 24 drug-affected barangays in Baguio City have been cleared as
of Oct. 22, said the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Monday.

Insp. Melchor Ong, BCPO Drug Enforcement Section chief, said among the
recently-cleared barangays, are Upper Quezon Hill, Lourdes Proper,
Magsaysay Private Road, Happy Homes - Old Lucban, Cabinet Hill, Dontogan -
Green Valley, Harrison - Carantes, Fairview, Victoria Village, Pinsao
Proper, Engineers Hill, Pacdal and Aurora Hill.

Eleven other barangays, which were reported to be still drug-affected and
under surveillance by their respective Barangay Anti-Narcotics Action Team
(Banat) volunteer civilian operatives, are Middle Quezon Hill, New Lucban,
Padre Burgos, Upper Rock Quarry, Urbano - Palma, Lower Quirino - Magsaysay
Subdivision, Campo Sioco, Dominican - Mirador, Quirino Hill, Sto. Nino or
Slaughterhouse Compound and Hilltop.

The report was submitted last Oct. 22 by Supt. Francisco Manalo Jr., BCPO
director, to the Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operations Task Force
(Aidsotf) at the Police Regional Office in Camp Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad,
Benguet.
