NO STUDY NEEDED
TO THE EDITOR: "Life puts women in prison" (news story, Oct. 23) reported
that a task force was created by our legislators to identify the factors
that influenced Oklahoma's high incarceration rate of women. The task force
concluded that poverty, unstable families and substance abuse were the
influencing factors. I think there should be a task force to figure out why
legislators needed a special study to figure out that no-brainer.
