LAW ENFORCEMENT DOING A GOOD JOB

I would like to commend local law enforcement for continuing there efforts
to stop narcotic production and distribution in the Parkersburg area.

Mr. Roe stated in his Oct. 17 letter that local law enforcement is not on
top of the drug situation in our area. I see all the time where meth labs
are being busted and people arrested in the cases. What I would like to
know is what Mr. Roe expects local police to do? Drug enforcement is an
ongoing process and there are no quick fixes. The Parkersburg Narcotic Task
Force has stated things for the public to be suspicious of in these types
of situations. There was a class held recently that dealt with meth labs
and what to be aware of.

Mr. Roe also stated there has been no public awareness. Apparently Mr. Roe
does not read the newspaper or watch the news reports that almost daily
have stories about meth labs or drug busts.

I think it is long overdue that citizens quit bashing our law enforcement
and be proud they are here and serve our communities the way they do.
