DRUG POLICY PROGRESS

This year has been a great year for drug policy reform. In Seattle,
Initiative 75 has passed, placing adult marijuana use at the bottom of
police priorities.

The Alaska Court of Appeals has ruled that state penalties for less than
four ounces of marijuana are unconstitutional.

The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear a case that would criminalize
medical marijuana discussions between patients and doctors.

Current and former members of law enforcement have formed Law Enforcement
Against Prohibition.

Contributions and participation have increased for the Drug Policy Forum of
Oklahoma!

The DPFOK will be adopting an organizational constitution Wednesday, 7 p.m.
at the Strode Hospitality Center, Seventh and Duck in Stillwater. The
"Constitutional Convention" will start with a potluck feast, so please
bring food. Membership is required to vote but fees can be paid at the
event. Admission is free.

The DPFOK is dedicated to reducing the harm of "The War on Drugs" by
supporting drug policies based on treatment and education.
