WAR ON DRUGS NOT WORTH RISK TO RIGHTS
Thanks for publishing the letter by Dan Rosenkrantz concerning the
disgraceful high school raid in Goose Creek South Carolina ("Drug raid
an example of police going too far," Nov. 12).
What is this country coming to? Oh wait, I forgot, the war on
drugs.
This is a disgrace to our country and constitution. We've spent 30
years trying to win the drug war and what has it done? This raid is
the epitome of our failure.
I'm ashamed to even say I'm an American after watching this. Land of
the free? Freedom and justice for all? Hardly.
You shouldn't wonder why you are going receive hundreds, if not
thousands, of letters and emails condemning what was done here.
Americans have had enough.
