LIMBAUGH NOT DESERVING OF SYMPATHY IN DRUG PLIGHT
I'm writing about a recent not-so-thoughtful letter, "Rush Limbaugh revered
by many," Nov. 9.
Limbaugh may be revered by many, but if he purchased the amount of drugs he
is alleged to, in the eyes of the law, he is automatically considered a
drug dealer and thus eligible for 10 years in a federal penitentiary
without the possibly of parole.
At least, that is what happens to people who are not famous and not on the
right side of the political spectrum. It's also what happens to people who
don't live in multimillion-dollar mansions and cannot afford $1,000-an-hour
attorneys.
Does the writer think that, if Limbaugh is guilty, he should serve 10 years
in federal prison as required by federal guidelines?
If not, why not?
