TTC NOT ORDERED TO PAY
An article appearing in last weekend's Saturday Sun, "TTC to pay for pit
full of gaffes, judge rules," incorrectly suggested that the TTC had been
ordered to pay a judgement to former TTC employee Michael Teskey for
malicious prosecution and defamation following a recent jury trial.
In fact, the jury decided that none of the defendants had committed any of
the wrongs complained of by Teskey. The presiding judge, Justice Wilson,
did not overrule the jury's verdict and the TTC has not been ordered to pay
any money. The Sun retracts the article and regrets the errors.
