METH BRINGS MISERY
In answer to Kirk Muse's June 18 letter, "Regulation reduces harm,"
suggesting that legalizing meth would reduce the crime rate and
increase public safety, it might reduce robberies and burglaries, but
the effect on the children of meth addicts would be disastrous.
One has only to attend a Grandparents Raising Grandchildren support
group meeting, such as our local Parents Again organization, to hear
of the misery meth has brought to the children, and the problems it
has brought to the relatives who are caring for the children of meth addicts.
Legalizing meth would create many more users and more abused and
neglected children for the grandparents, courts and social services
to take care of.
