WITHOUT CONTROLS?

Mr. Du Bois: In my wildest imagination I cannot think of a reason to put
even one of the following chemicals into my body let alone all mixed up;
lye, acetone, battery acid, muriatic acid, white gas (Coleman fuel), red
phosphorus, and crystal iodine.

Please explain to this "uneducated" person why society should allow people
to do this with or without controls and regulations.
