HEGE GETS DEAL
I would like to express my opinion of the double standard currently
occurring in Davidson County with Gerald Hege. I'm one of the officers
arrested in December 2001. I was arrested on Dec. 12, 2001, and have been
incarcerated ever since. I was denied bond because I was considered a
danger to the community after 12 years of serving that community. Hege has
never been jailed (released on bond) and continues to draw his salary that
is paid by taxpayers.
I know we all make mistakes and are human. But, we also have to pay for
those mistakes. In my case, one mistake erased 12 years of solid service.
Is Hege too good or above the law? Does he not have to live up to his own
mottos that I and everyone else have to live up to?
"Don't do the crime if you can't do the time!" "No deals!"
