DRUG SQUAD OFFICER GRANTED BAIL
A magistrate has granted bail to a detective charged in connection to the
burglary of a house at the centre of a multi-million dollar drug ring in
Victoria.
Detective Sergeant Paul Dale, 34, is charged with a number of offences
including conspiracy to burgle and conspiracy to traffic drugs.
Police allege he and another detective from the major drug investigation
division organised to burgle the East Oakleigh house the night before
police found more than $8 million worth of ecstasy, amphetamines and LSD at
the home.
Magistrate Lisa Hannan granted bail, saying it could take up to two years
before the police officer went to trial.
He is due to reappear in court next March.
