NICE TRY, BUT ...

Letter-writer Larry Brennan's idea of having our government buy all the
drugs and then destroy them is interesting to be sure -- but there's one big
problem that I'm sure others will bring to your attention.

Under his plan there will still be a huge demand for the drugs that are
being destroyed.

If there continues to be a demand, there will always be a supply because
there is money to be made.

So I don't think his idea will work to reduce our problems with drugs and
the inherent problems with prohibition.

Nice try, though.
