EPHEDRA BAN WILL HAVE MANY CONSEQUENCES

In response to "U.S. bans herbal product ephedra" (Dec.
31):

Now that the federal government has taken this appropriate step, we
should get ready to see ephedra hoarded, to see it on the black
market, to see ephedra-related drug busts, to see abuse of cold
remedies containing ephedrine.

There's a reason convenience store check-outs are currently lined with
ephedra products. A lot of people use and abuse this substance. Get
ready.
