DRUG WAR PRESENTS QUESTIONS

Re: Medical Madness Apparent in Three Case Studies, The Doctor Game, Dec.
22 News.

I'd like to address the last two sentences of Dr. Gifford Jones'
column: "Surely there must be ways to stop drug use in prison. If not
there, then where?"

The short answer is no place. As long as there is a demand for
recreational drugs and the buyers are willing to pay a substantial
price for the drugs, somebody will produce the drugs and somebody will
get the drugs to the willing buyers. Guaranteed.

And if drug cannot be kept out of prisons, and obviously they cannot,
how are drugs supposed to be kept out of countries with thousands of
miles of international borders and thousands of miles of coastline?

When you get the answer, please share it with the politicians in the
country to the south of you. You know, the country with the huge
statue proclaiming liberty for all and with more prisoners than any
other country on the planet and in history.
