COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE GIVES DARE PROGRAM $2,000

The Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH has made a contribution of more
than $2,000 in forfeited proceeds this year to support a local DARE program.

The task force issued a check recently from its forfeiture account with the
county prosecutor's office for $2,137 to the Tiffin Police Department's
DARE program.

According to Seneca County Prosecutor Ken Egbert Jr., this represents 10
percent of the local unit's forfeited proceeds, collected in cash and
seizures, as a result of drug investigations and prosecutions in Seneca
County during 2003.

According to Egbert, over the past five years, the Seneca County Drug Task
Force has contributed more than $10,000 to local DARE programs in Seneca
County.
