DEVOTE TIME TO ELIMINATING DRUGS

Regarding The Death Of Kenneth Walker:

The "community leaders," concerned citizens and elected officials who
keep having rallies, are missing the point. I agree the death of Mr.
Walker was an unfortunate tragedy. I have problems with the local law
enforcement; it seems many "traffic stops" turn into vehicle searches.
Please read the Fourth Amendment.

Where were these groups as the drug dealers set up their houses to
sell these drugs? Where were the rallies in front of the dealers'
homes to drive them out? Where were the meetings by elected officials
on what to do about the drug problem and the associated violence in
the communities?

Don't try to tell me the neighbors don't know which houses are used to
sell drugs, and they don't know the faces of the men and women selling.

All these meetings and rallies and memorials are too late and directed
in the wrong direction. Clean up the drug problem, drive them out of
your area, then you won't have officers pulling over cars wondering if
the occupants are going to open fire on them.

Like doctors, treat the cause, not the symptoms. And please stop
having meetings of all the black leaders and black elected officials
and complaining no whites are there. You are separating yourself by
the names you give yourself. You cannot separate yourself using race
as the reason and then complain you aren't part of the "white" society.
