OXYCONTIN PENALTY COULD BE FAR WORSE:

Bobby Covington needs to come back down to Earth. He is the parent of the
Hoover High student sent to alternative school for a year just because his
daughter made a mistake and took her "leftover" concert OxyContin to school.

The article quoted him as follows: "To take a year of her life away for one
mistake like that it is beyond me." Does he have any idea what a little
OxyContin will do? He is concerned about that one year. It could have been
her life.

I believe her punishment was not severe enough. She should have been
expelled from school. The Covington family should count its blessings and
seek professional help.
