DRUG ROVISION UNFAIR

As a college student that goes to school in the Adirondacks and relies
heavily on financial aid, I agree with your editorial stance on the
Higher Education Act drug provision.

I'm a new student at Paul Smith's College and I am trying to organize
a group on campus called Students for Sensible Drug Policy or SSDP.
Our main goal in this organization is to get the drug provision
repealed when the HEA comes up for reauthorization this year.

I recently returned form the college convention in Manchester, N. H.,
where 150-plus SSDP activists got seven of the nine presidential
candidates to support us in our fight for repeal. There are over 200
chapters of SSDP across the country including 12 high school chapters.

Once again I would just like to thank you for your stance against this
discriminatory policy.
