A GOOD ACTOR
To the editor:
I'm writing about "Rush Limbaugh's 'fans' say loyalty has limits"
(1-17-04). I'd like to add that Rush's fans must realize that Rush is
not really a conservative.
He's just an actor playing one on the radio. Rush started off his
career in radio by playing Jeff Christy, the cool rock 'n' roll D. J.
Rush got fired twice as Jeff Christy, so Rush re-invented himself as
Rush Limbaugh the ultra-conservative. One little problem is that Rush
forgot to register to vote until he was 35 years old and well into his
current gig.
Why didn't Rush register to vote until he was 35? Because he didn't
care about the outcomes of any elections. People only register to vote
and vote if they care about the outcome of elections. He didn't bother
to vote for Ronald Reagan or any other conservative politicians until
he was 35 and "outed" by a newspaper columnist in Sacramento, Calif.
Because Rush Limbaugh is just an actor playing the part of a
conservative, and a pretty good actor, he obviously fooled lots of
people.
