COCAINE ADDICTION CAUSED BY JOB STRESS, OFFICE SAYS
Suspended Toronto Constable Robert Kelly, who has pleaded guilty to
possession of cocaine, will learn his punishment on March 4.
At a hearing that wrapped up yesterday, a judge in Brampton heard that the
37-year-old constable became addicted to cocaine due to the stress of being
an undercover drug officer.
But Crown attorney John North told the court the 14-year veteran was
addicted before he was arrested in 2001.
