TORONTO NEEDS NEW POLICE CHIEF

No Fast Renewal Of Chief's Contract: Miller

Julian Fantino wants to hold onto the crown of his high office for as
long as he can. But Toronto is headed in a new direction and we need
renewed leadership of our law enforcement service. We need a police
chief who can actually engage in dialogue with all of Toronto's
diverse communities - not someone who preaches at them from the news
conference pulpit.

It may be that on Fantino's watch, the biggest, most corrupt nest of
internal criminal activity in the history of law enforcement in
Toronto has been going on right under his nose.

Those two issues alone speak to the need for a new, more urbane,
sophisticated and erudite leader for the Toronto police.
