USE OLD SYSTEM

I would like to thank the City Commission for keeping the Methadone Clinic
out of Johnson City.

While some may disagree, I deal daily with some of these addicts and they
will brag about shopping around, going from city to city to get their
fixes. In some people's opinion, it may be a "proven drug program," but I
prefer to use the old common sense method of "you don't give a drug addict
more drugs to cure them."

Let's look at Alcoholics Anonymous, I don't think they have started handing
out cocktails and cold beers to their groups yet.

I am not judging nor I do not walk in these addicts' shoes, but I do live
and pay taxes in Johnson City, and if it takes "a good ole boy system" to
at least try and keep our city drug-free and clean from known drug abusers,
then I'll vote for these good ole boys anytime.
