POLICE KNOW WHAT WOULD WORK
RE YOUR letter of the day (Feb. 3) and how the writer feels the first step
in curbing drug-related crime is to legalize drugs: Wouldn't the
drug-related crime just turn into another maybe more serious crime? You're
telling me the drug dealer will wake up one morning and get a real job? I
don't think having "great drug seller" on your resume will get you the job
you always dreamed about. Politicians should pay close attention to the
police and their ideas to make our streets safe since they're the ones who
would know what would work.
