POLICE OFFICER CHARGED WITH BRIBERY, TAMPERING
A Denver police officer was charged with bribery and conspiracy to
commit tampering with evidence in a drug case.
Damon D. Finley, 31, was under investigation since June 2002 when an
allegation of misconduct was made against him, officials said Thursday.
The charges allege that Finley conspired with his father to tamper
with evidence in a pending drug case in exchange for money. No
evidence was tampered with, officials said.
Finley was removed from duty this July.
