ORGANIZED CRIME SUBSIDY BILLS
Thank you for Bill Kaufmann's excellent article on the perversion that
is prohibition. ("Pot shots," March 1.) Canadian governments have been
aware of this perversion for at least 30 years and still we get more
organized crime subsidy bills -- which is what anything less than
legalization amounts to. I feel confident that if Kaufmann was so
predisposed, he could find a "smoking gun link" between the elected
crooks in government and the unelected crooks (organized crime).
