MARIJUANA ISSUE ISN'T GOING AWAY
The new marijuana initiative provides stiff criminal penalties to
anyone caught selling marijuana to a minor under 21 years of age. The
first offense carries 10 years in prison, and a second is life.
This law would also increase the penalties for anyone convicted of
vehicular manslaughter while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
including marijuana, to a sentence of five years to life.
A responsible adult over the age of 21 could possess up to one ounce
and smoke in the privacy of his or her home.
As a Christian minister, a parent and a business person, I believe
that if we put this law into effect we will on the short term see an
increase in the use of marijuana by adults, but that in the long run
we will not only see a dramatic decrease in teen marijuana use but
also in adult usage.
The prohibition on marijuana has never worked. Sixty-seven percent of
our kids have smoked pot! It is time to do something about it and make
a revolutionary change. Join me in voting for our kids.
