METH DEALERS TARGET TEENS

As a student, I think it is appalling how accessible drugs have become to
teenagers. It is no wonder so many teens across Edmonton are becoming
addicted to crystal meth.

The same "drug epidemic" has also hit Sherwood Park and other small towns.
First it was marijuana. Then, it was ecstasy. Now, the latest trend seems
to be crystal meth.

It is unsettling for parents to wonder if their children may have been
exposed to this horrific chemical. In the past few weeks, I have been
reading tragic stories about youths who have destroyed their lives by
experimenting with meth.

Where are the police in all of this? Why aren't they cracking down on the
people who are supplying, producing and selling drugs to teenagers?

Police need to keep these producers and dealers away from their communities.
