HEROIN WORTH RS 555M SEIZED AT AIRPORT

LAHORE: A Customs Anti Smuggling Drug Enforcement Cell (CASDC) team
arrested a Kenyan woman at the Allama Iqbal International Airport and
seized liquid heroin weighing 44 kilogrammes worth Rs 555 million from her.

CASDC Inspector Chaudhry Mazhar Ali and other Customs personnel checked the
luggage of the woman, later identified as Berly Aohiambo, and found liquid
heroin packed in 83 bottles of shampoo.

During preliminary investigations, Ms Aohiambo confessed she was going to
Nairobi through Gulf Air flight number GF 733. She said she got the heroin
from a man calling himself "Chief" staying in a hotel situated on Abbot
Road. She said the man promised her $300 if she succeeded in her mission.
