OKLAHOMA IS TOO EASY ON METH
I'm constantly amazed at the methamphetamine-related problems faced by our
society.
I wish someone would compare our laws to those in Texas. My
understanding is that Texas is much tougher on people who are caught
in operation of a meth lab. If so, aren't we encouraging those in
northern Texas to move into our state for their "business"? Are our
lawmakers too easy regarding the laws and punishment of these criminals?
Are our judges to blame concerning light punishments? Is the "swinging
door" or early release system concerning our felons as bad as it appears?
I'm an educator and father of three.
I'm happy and successful with my profession, but I'm uncertain if I
want my kids to grow up here, where it seems we sit back and watch the
outlaws make us look like a state whose people are afraid to punish
the criminals.
