DRUG INVITATION SPOILED CONCERT

As strong supporters of Canadian music, my son and I were very excited to
see Nickelback live at Rexall Place on Thursday night.

Putting the music aside, lead singer Chad Kroeger turned what could have
been a wonderful night into a terrible experience. He encouraged as many
women as possible to remove their underwear and throw it on stage, which
resulted in bare breasts being flashed throughout the arena.

Then he asked anyone who had joints or illegal drugs to indulge. This was
not an adults only concert. There were many underage people who came to
listen to their favourite band play music. The air immediately became
filled with pot smoke and as a result I had to take my son home early.

I called the radio station which sponsored the show and was told that they
didn't condone what Kroeger did, but drugs at a rock concert are the norm.
What a sad state of affairs.
