MARIJUANA GROW OPERATION DISCOVERED IN PARKDALE
Toronto firefighters found a marijuana grow operation in a Parkdale
high-rise after battling a three-alarm blaze early yesterday morning.
Heavy winds fanned the flames of the 14th-floor balcony fire at 105
West Lodge Ave., near Lansdowne Avenue and Queen Street West, shortly
after midnight. The fire spread to the five balconies below.
Firefighters found the grow operation in two apartments while
checking to determine whether the fire had spread. A passageway had
been knocked into the wall that separated the apartments.
