I read with approval your editorial until I got to the last sentence: "If
Canada did not make marijuana criminal, the need for these underground
operations would cease to exist."

Let's put your point of view up to the light. If we decriminalize even the
simple possession of a small amount of marijuana, then these grow
operations will increase a thousandfold, like any other commodity. Then the
destroyed rental properties and stolen electrical energy will not be the
only social problems we will have to worry about.
