JAILING ADDICTS NOT THE ANSWER

I support a safe-injection site, as I believe it will give addicts a
chance to come out of the cold and seek treatment. They are going to
use drugs anyway, so to say we are encouraging more drug use is silly.

These people are sick and they didn't ask for this addiction -- they
have no choice.

How can so many people want more jails and punitive action when
scientists have done numerous studies and found that harm reduction
works? Thank goodness we have a mayor and a chief of police who see
the whole picture and are fighting for change and a harm-reduction model.

Take your blinders off and get real. Treating addicts as criminals
and building more prisons is not the answer.
