DEP GOV DECRIES DRUG ABUSE
Uyo
The Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Chris Ekpen yong has expressed
concern over the increased rate of drug abuse by youths in the state.
He stated this in Uyo when he hosted the Commander of the Nigerian Law
Enforcement Agency NDLEA, Mrs Florence Dan Archibong in his office.
Obong Ekpenyong reiterated that the future of Nigeria is threatened if its
future leaders result to drug abuse.
He warned against the dangers inherent in the abuse of drugs and called on
the NDLEA to do everything within its powers to see that the youths engage
in profitable ventures that will keep them from drug use.
